Coordination Regional Office in North East of Iran was established in 2011 according to an MOU between BHRC and Khorasan Razavi Construction Engineering Organization. The office functioned more effectively as a result of signing the MOU with the Headquarter of Roads and Urban Development as a third signer in 2013.
Goals:
Cooperation in field and regional data collection for the project related to BHRC;
Developing databanks;
Cooperation in compiling research findings;
Regional need analysis;
Organizing training courses;
Cooperation with scientific and research centers for organizing festival and scientific events;
Organizing technical exhibitions;
Publicizing the use of new technologies which are approved by the center.
Responsibilities
Cooperation in checking and maintenance of accelorgraphs and improving their quality and quantity;
Publicizing National Building Code and gathering the engineers comments in this field;
Providing research and technical services in order to analyze earthquake risk in the province;
Cooperation in recognizing credible labs to be used for conducting tests of granting technical certificates;
Preparing technical reports on civil projects according to the request of the center;
Publicizing technical approvals and certificated for neighboring countries of Iran such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Regional Offices Work Groups
In 2014, with the order of the center’s president and in order to utilize the capabilities of university experts in the North East, 10 work groups were established. These work groups are comprised of 50 academic elites who cooperated with the main office by criticizing National Building Code, prioritization the research projects, compilation of instructions related to National Building Code and Iran Strong Motion Network:

Lab Services
The office cooperates with two labs of soil mechanics and university of Firdausi. The office uses the services provided by these labs to provide lab and engineering services.
Prominent Activities
Organizing 38 training courses since 2011;
Improving the Strong Motion Network of the province by adding new devices;
Organizing scientific events and festivals;
Documentation of new technologies;
